eFileX automatically and seamlessly imports all the data for abbreviated and dormant accounts from Excel files without any re-keying, creates an XBRL set and e-files to Companies House in less time than it takes to print them.

This desktop program, from True Data, is designed for all filers of accounts at Companies House who prepare or store them in Excel format files (.xls, .xlt, .csv). For example you may be a VT Final Accounts user, or use your own or proprietary Excel template or even use other accounts production packages which can export accounts as csv files.

Interactive map files
These are the key components of eFileX. Map files are sophisticated data tables of XBRL elements, each with specific address values and formulae which instruct the program what to import and how to convert it. The import/conversion process will only work without error if the map 'fits' exactly with the Excel source and during the process some eight separate validation functions are called which report details of any 'delinquent' element. eFileX comes with a number of pre-installed template maps. Users can, if required, create their own customised maps from these templates. Maps can also be copied or imported from external sources.

All accounts data imported
Maps enable the program to import every item of data included in the accounts, both monetary and textual. Additional accounting policies, linked notes, special notes are all easily dealt with. And not just for the current year - eFileX also processes the comparatives at the same time. Within the limitations of the Companies House style sheet, the XBRL accounts mirror, exactly, the Excel accounts.

Post submission processing
Details of each e-filing is recorded in a Filing History table, from where the user can instruct eFileX to search the mail Inbox for Companies House responses. When a response is received, the program automatically handles the different types. All communications with Companies House are automatically logged and there is a separate log for filing errors in the case of a rejection.
